Working lawyers who are also mothers presents challenges. Isolation and the demands

of managing a stressful career while navigating the responsibilities of childcare and

home management present unique trials to a working mother who practices law. Florida

Lawyers Assistance, Inc. holds a weekly, confidential support group to address these

pertinent issues.

This group provides a safe and supportive space to discuss a variety of topics such as

burnout and stress, pregnancy and childbirth, schooling concerns, the challenges of

raising an adolescent, grief, fear, becoming an emotional or physical caregiver to an

aging parent, and the loss of a cherished family pet. In other words, life issues that can

be difficult to manage while juggling an important and demanding career.

Life can be difficult and it’s beneficial to have one hour per week to express support to

one another, brainstorm solutions, and celebrate victories, large and small. This is a

confidential and judgment free zone.

Come join us on Fridays at noon for this no-cost stress reliever. Contact Lauren Morris,
