ALCOHOL USE & ADDICITION
Alcoholism and substance abuse is a term used to describe the continuum of problems related to misuse of drugs and alcohol. Ongoing use can lead to addiction, which is progressive, chronic, and potentially fatal. Like other chronic diseases, it can be managed with ongoing support and the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. FLA can provide counseling as well as referrals to professionals in the addiction field who are familiar with the challenges of the legal profession. We also can provide referrals to professionals who treat process addictions, such as gambling, internet, sex, and pornography.
